Mid County Directory 2026

4 2026 | Maplewood & Richmond Heights Community Directory Welcome from the Mayor of Maplewood Welcome to the Maplewood community! The 2026 Community Directory is your guide to the diverse businesses that make Maplewood a vibrant place to live, work, and visit. From dining and retail to professional services and unique local shops, you’ll find everything you need right here, most of it accessible without a car, thanks to our impressive Walk Score of 92. For those who prefer to drive, convenient and free parking is available throughout the city. Speaking of travel, 2026 marks the 100th anniversary of Route 66, the legendary “Mother Road,” which originally ran through our business district along Manchester Road. We’ll be celebrating this historic milestone with events and festivities throughout the year. Looking ahead, construction will soon begin on the Great Rivers Greenway extension along Greenwood Avenue, connecting the Deer Creek and River des Peres Greenways with Francis R. Slay Park as well as future greenway routes to Forest Park and downtown St. Louis. This directory also includes key information about Maplewood’s city services, schools, parks, library, and community events organized by both the City of Maplewood and the Mid County Chamber of Commerce. Maplewood continues to receive recognition for its charm and commitment to sustainability. Recently, we were honored by the St. Louis Green Business Challenge for our partnership with MRH Middle School to revitalize a walkway in our business district. Our community is also home to the nation’s first Green Dining District and was named the Best Small Town to Retire in the U.S. by Travel + Leisure, based on data from GoBankingRates.com I encourage you to shop Maplewood! Our unique, locally owned businesses not only add character to our city but also generate more than half of the city’s operating budget. If you’re visiting, this guide includes addresses and contact information to help you make the most of your time here. Take a stroll, explore our businesses, and enjoy all that Maplewood has to offer. We look forward to seeing you in our beautiful city! Barry Greenberg Mayor City of Maplewood
