4 2026 | St. Louis Hills Community Directory Welcome to St. Louis Hills! St. Louis Hills has always been a neighborhood built on vision, resilience, and community spirit. That legacy began in 1929 when Cyrus Crane Willmore constructed his first display home at 6226 Itaska—just two months after the infamous stock market crash. Against the backdrop of the Great Depression, more than 10,000 visitors came to the grand opening, including Harry S. Truman, then campaigning for the U.S. Senate. From the start, St. Louis Hills was more than a development—it was a community. Nearly a century later, that spark still shines. St. Louis Hills remains one of the most vibrant, welcoming, and safe neighborhoods in the city. Its central location and easy access to major highways make it ideal for families, friends, and anyone seeking a keen sense of place. At the heart of our neighborhood is the St. Louis Hills Neighborhood Association, founded in 1949. For 76 years, it has played a vital role in shaping our community through events, partnerships, and the incredible dedication of our residents and volunteers.
