4 2024 | Maplewood & Richmond Heights Community Directory Welcome from the Maplewood Mayor On behalf of myself and the Maplewood City Council, I would like to welcome you to Maplewood! All are welcome here. Maplewood is an inclusive community that is focused on supporting our community members through progressive policies and ordinances, sustaining our environment, and partnering with the outstanding Maplewood Richmond Heights (MRH) School District and its Board of Education. If you are a resident, a Maplewood business owner or employee, or a visitor, then you are a community member. And Maplewood is focused on being inclusive of its community members. Our City Hall flies the St. Louis inclusive Pride flag during the month of June, we celebrate Juneteenth with community members and partners, and the Maplewood City Council recently created the Human Services Commission to serve Maplewood residents. Our city also recognizes Indigenous Peoples’ Day and Transgender Day of Visibility, and the Maplewood Public Library provides wonderfully diverse books while serving as a lifeline to our community members in need. Maplewood is a community focused on equity, diversity, and inclusion for all. I hope you call it home. And if you are a visitor, I hope you can call Maplewood home soon. You are welcome here.
